Residential HVAC Rebate Program

Two Residential HVAC rebate programs per year are available, one in the spring and one in the fall. EAP facilitates this program where rebates are split 50/50 between contractors and distributors/manufacturers. Rebates are available for residential-sized systems, including homes, apartments, as well as mixed-use commercial properties. This program is promoted to consumers in the Philadelphia five-county region and participants are provided digital marketing collateral. Read on to learn more about the program and how to participate.

A: EAP rebates are provided as an instant discount to the customer by a participating contractor, with the cost of the rebate split between the contractor and manufacturer. Contractors will submit a claim form to EAP, and manufacturers will reimburse 50% of the claim amount as a credit to your account.

A: Participating contractors are responsible for providing the full rebate amount to the customer as an instant discount on the invoice. Please be sure the full rebate amount is included on the customer’s invoice as “EAP Rebate”. Rebates will be offered on full heat pump, central air conditioning systems, or mini split heat pump system. For heat pump systems, the outdoor unit and indoor air handler must be installed. For central air conditioning systems, the outdoor unit, indoor fan-bearing unit or furnace, and coil must be installed. Add-on coils alone are not eligible for a rebate. For mini split heat pump systems, both the outdoor unit and indoor unit(s) must be installed.
A: The Contractor and the Manufacturer or Distributor equally share the cost of the rebate; 50% Contractor and 50% Manufacturer or Distributor. The contractor is responsible for providing the full rebate amount to the customer as an instant discount on the invoice. Following installation, the Contractor will submit a rebate claim to EAP. The manufacturer or distributor will then reimburse 50% of the full rebate amount to the contractor as account credit,
A: Following installation, the Contractor must file a claim with The EAP to receive the remaining 50% of the rebate amount from the manufacturer/distributor. Participating contractors will receive a claim form for submittal or can submit claims online. Participating contractors must also provide a copy of the original invoice clearly noting “EAP Rebate” and rebate amount provided to customer, and the AHRI Certificate of Product Rating sheet for each rebate of a qualifying system from a participating manufacturer.
A: This offer is not valid in combination with manufacturer rebates. PECO and local utility rebates can be combined with EAP rebates.
A: The EAP will provide participating contractors with program marketing materials and will promote the program to customers through a variety of mediums.
A: No, you do not have to join EAP to participate in the program, although it is more cost effective. To participate as a nonmember, please contact Matt Deibert at (610) 825-1600 x 14, or via email.
