Residential HVAC Rebate Program
Two residential HVAC rebate programs per year are available, one in the spring and one in the fall. EAP facilitates this program where rebates are split 50/50 between contractors and distributors/manufacturers. This program is promoted to consumers in the Philadelphia five-county region and participants are given both print and digital marketing collateral. Read on to learn more about the program and how to participate.
Q: How does the rebate program work?
A: EAP rebates are provided as an instant discount to the customer by a participating contractor, with the cost of the rebate split between the contractor and manufacturer. Contractors will submit a claim form to EAP, and manufacturers will reimburse 50% of the claim amount as a credit to your account.
Q: What type of brands are available in the program?
A: While this is subject to change, contractors can generally plan on the following brands being part of the program:
Heat Pumps and Central Air Conditioning:
Amana
American Standard Heating & A/C
Bryant
Carrier
Goodman
Lennox
Rheem
Trane
York
Ductless Mini Splits:
Bryant
Carrier
Daikin
Fujitsu Ductless Splits
Goodman
Lennox
Mitsubishi Electric
Rheem
York
Q: Am I automatically enrolled a member?
A: No, both contractors and distributors/manufacturers must opt into each program.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: You may access enrollment during the spring and fall programs; visit the current program page for more details.
Q: How will my customer receive their rebate?
A: Participating contractors will subtract the full rebate from the customer’s final invoice. Please be sure the full rebate amount is included on the customer’s invoice as “EAP Rebate”. Rebates will be offered on full heat pump or central air conditioning systems. For heat pump systems, this means that both the outdoor unit and indoor air handler must be replaced. For central air conditioning systems, this means that the outdoor unit, indoor fan-bearing unit, and coil must be replaced. Add-on coils alone are not eligible for a rebate.
Q: Who pays the rebate?
A: The Contractor and the Manufacturer or Distributor equally share the cost of the rebate; 50% Contractor and 50% Manufacturer or Distributor. Manufacturers/Distributors will reimburse contractors 50% of the rebate amount as an account credit within 15 days of receiving claim form from EAP.
Q: How do I submit claims?
A: Following installation, the Contractor must file a claim with The EAP to receive the remaining 50% of the rebate amount from the manufacturer/distributor. Participating contractors will receive a claim form for submittal or can submit claims online. Participating contractors must also provide a copy of the original invoice clearly noting “EAP Rebate” and rebate amount provided to customer, and the AHRI Certificate of Product Rating sheet for each rebate of a qualifying system from a participating manufacturer.
Q: Can a customer combine other rebates with an EAP rebate?
A: This offer is not valid in combination with manufacturer rebates. PECO Rebates can be combined with EAP rebates if system levels meet
PECO rebate requirements
.
Q: How can I market my participation in the program?
A: The EAP will provide participating contractors with program marketing materials and will promote the program to customers through a variety of mediums.
Q: Do I have to be a member of the EAP to participate?
A: No, you do not have to join to participate in the program, although it is more cost effect. To participate as a nonmember, please contact Matt Deibert at (610) 825-1600 x 14, or via
email
