Since the founding of EAP, companies involved in air conditioning and heating systems have been an integral part of our organization. Representing nearly half of our contractor member base, companies involved in the heating and air conditioning contracting business have access to a variety of member services.
To join as a heating & air conditioning contractor, the entity must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
Firms, corporations, partnerships, individual proprietorships, and other types of business enterprises that provide work related to the design, installation, and maintenance of air conditioning and heat pump systems.
As part of the application process, you will be required to submit proof of the following (as appropriate):
- Carry and maintain a minimum of $100,000 of general liability insurance
- Please note that a minimum of $500,000 is required to be in the contractor referral program
- Workers compensation insurance (as appropriate)
- Valid HIC Number (if providing residential service)
Key Features/Benefits Available to the Heating & Air Conditioning Contractors
EAP can drive business to you through our Locate a Contractor Program. As a referral source for PECO, customers can locate participating contractors through EAP’s online Locate a Contractor Portal, or by calling EAP. We refer each customer up to three appropriate contractors, using data supplied by the contractor participants. Referrals are based on the size, type, and location of the job. Residential Rebate Program:
Occurring in both the Spring and Fall, EAP partners with participating manufacturers, distributors, and local heating and air conditioning contractors to provide homeowners amazing savings on heat pumps, central air conditioning and mini-split systems. EAP hosts online and in-person educational courses in the Spring and Fall, led by top industry instructors. All employees of an EAP member company pay a reduced fee. From time to time, NATE courses are available.
