Electrical Contractors

EAP is comprised of electrical contractors of all sizes, who conduct residential, commercial, and industrial work in and around the Greater Philadelphia region.

Membership Qualifications

To join as an electrical contractor, the entity must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.


Firms, corporations, partnerships, individual proprietorships, and other types of business enterprises that provide work related to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems.


As part of the application process, you will be required to submit proof of the following (as appropriate):

  • Carry and maintain a minimum of $100,000 of general liability insurance
  • Please note that a minimum of $500,000 is required to be in the contractor referral program
  • Workers compensation insurance (as appropriate)
  • Valid HIC Number (if providing residential service)

Key Features/Benefits Available to Electrical Contractors

Continuing Education: EAP hosts online and in-person educational courses in the Spring and Fall, led by expert industry instructors. All employees of an EAP member company pay a reduced fee. EAP courses may qualify for Delaware, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey CEUs. Learn more here »

Contractor Referral: EAP can drive business to you through our Locate a Contractor Program. As a referral source for PECO, customers can locate participating contractors through EAP’s online Locate a Contractor Portal, or by calling EAP. We refer each customer up to three appropriate contractors, using data supplied by the contractor participants. Referrals are based on the size, type, and location of the job. A rotating system is used to ensure fairness amongst members. Learn more here »

PA One Call: Normally a $125 annual cost, EAP provides contractor members with PA One Call services, free of charge. Send EAP your unpaid invoice within 6 months of receiving it and we will pay it for you!

Membership Dues

Fees associated with membership are based on the number of employees at your company. Dues are paid annually and prorated in the second year of membership.

  • Large Electrical Contractor: 20 or more employees – $690
  • Medium Electrical Contractor: 6-19 employees – $290
  • Small Electrical Contractor: 1-5 employees – $185
