Committee
Membership Volunteers serve on committees for a specific term, as approved by the EAP Governing Board. Membership is generally required to participate on a committee.

Staff Advisory Group
Volunteers who serve on staff advisory groups provide feedback to the EAP staff team on specific topics or programs; there are no voting rights. EAP Membership is not a requirement to participate.

Working Group
Volunteers who participate in a working group of the EAP have a specific scope of work assigned as well as a defined timeline. Membership requirements vary by working group.

Committee Positions
There are several Committees in need of members to assist with a variety of functions. Please review the opportunities below and submit your application to be considered here.

Audit Committee
The Board is seeking members to join the Audit Committee who oversee the auditing process for the EAP and the EAP Educational Foundation. An audit will be conducted for the 2022 fiscal year.

Volunteer Term: January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023
Time Commitment: 2 virtual board meetings per year plus 4-6 hours volunteer work
Experience: while not a requirement, candidates with a background in financial management or previous audit or finance committee experience will be given preferential consideration.


Finance Committee
We are looking to staff our Finance Committee who oversee the financial position of both the EAP and the EAP Educational Foundation.

Volunteer Term: January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023
Time Commitment: 2 – 4 virtual board meetings per year plus 4-6 hours volunteer work
Experience: reading and understanding financial statements and investment reports is ideal experience for member of this committee.


Governance Committee
We are looking to staff our Governance Committee, whose first responsibility will be to review board nominations for the 2023 Governing Board. Additional work will include policy development and volunteer recruitment.

Volunteer Term: November 2022 – December 31, 2023
Time Commitment: 2 – 4 virtual meetings per year plus 4-6 hours volunteer work
Experience: individuals well-established in their career with a wide network and previous board experience make ideal candidates.

Working Groups

Residential HVAC Rebate Program Working Group
The group is responsible for planning EAP's Spring and Fall rebate programs. The group consists of HVAC Contractors, manufacturers, wholesalers, and representatives from local utilities. The group meets in early June and January for planning meetings.

Locate a Contractor Program Working Group
The group will be responsible for reviewing the services and parameters used within the locate a contractor program. This will be reviewed annually to ensure emerging technologies are included.

Philadelphia L&I Annual Report Card Work Group
Each year, the EAP is invited to contribute feedback on various aspects of Philadelphia L&I’s communications and operations. We are seeking contractors and inspectors who conduct work in the city to participate in answering the survey and participating in the feedback meeting.
