The Foundation is pleased to support individuals seeking a career in the energy trades. This scholarship is open to anyone living in the five-county region looking to attend a post-high school technical program. Scholarships will be awarded based upon the submission about academic performance, extracurricular activities, and volunteer/community activities. Applicants will need to upload a copy of their most recent high school transcript and will have to respond an essay prompt. New for 2025: One scholarship will be made available to a post-high school, current technical school, or adult student.
Eligibility (Current High School senior):
- Be a High School senior planning on attending your freshman year of vocational/technical school beginning in the Fall of 2025.
- Attending a High School located in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia Counties (located in Pennsylvania) planning on attending a technical school in the Fall of 2025 (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Be majoring in a degree/certificate in Electrical or HVAC Technology.
- Affiliation with The Electrical Association of Philadelphia is not a requirement.
Eligibility (Post-High School student or adult student):
- Be a resident of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia Counties (located in Pennsylvania) planning on attending a technical school in the Fall of 2025 (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Be majoring in a degree/certificate in Electrical or HVAC Technology.
- Affiliation with The Electrical Association of Philadelphia is not a requirement.
Application Process:
Please gather the following information as you prepare to apply:
- Your intended school of choice (if you have not yet selected one, list your top choice), or current school.
- A copy of your high school transcripts (they do need to be “official,” but must include your name), if you are a current high school senior.
- A list of your extracurricular activities, honors, and awards
- A list of your community service and volunteer activities
- An essay answering one of the following questions (max 1,000 words each essay): Why have you selected a career in the electrical/HVAC trades? or, Where do you see yourself after completing technical school?
